I will be teaching two class this the weekend of Wings Over Water Wildlife Festival Basic wildlife photograph class will be on October 15, 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm in the Conference room at Gateway on the outer backs of North Carolinas. Below is a link to the registration for the class.
Basic Wildlife Photography (Classroom & Field) (NEW). Perfect for beginning and intermediate photographers. Introduction of the fundamentals of photography, including camera and lens capabilities, aperture, shutter, ISO, and saving images. Manual and auto shooting modes and selecting your settings will be discussed along with creative decisions, camera movement, and practical skills to obtain a great photo. A brief in the field time is allotted during the class for photographing an image, and group analysis of the image. Bring your camera, computer and/or iPad to view and discuss an image taken during the class if you want hands-on experience. Leader: Sean Leahy, Wildlife Photographer and Birder.

(The Photo Editing in Lightroom session is not contingent on a participant attending the Basic Wildlife Photography session. However, this session should be offered on the agenda in the afternoon, one or two days after the Basic Wildlife Photography session if possible, using a Gateway classroom.)
Photo Editing in Lightroom (Classroom). This session introduces core Adobe Lightroom modules used for organizing, editing, and printing photographs. This hands-on session is designed for each participant to work with images during the session (participant must bring their computer with software loaded). Session highlights include importing and exporting images, using keywords, storing, cropping, masking, sharpening, and other image features. Understanding size limitations and printing images will be included. Optimal session experience – bring your computer with your previously installed Adobe Lightroom software to learn the basics of editing photos. Leader: Sean Leahy, Wildlife Photographer and Birder.
